Part of Flight’s ongoing body of work exploring how we are tamed by the structures that surround us and the systems we belong to.

Hybird-documentary film - The Wedding Dress.

The film documents the process of making a wedding dress which featured in the show TAMED or It's Hard To Get A Real Horse. The dress with the brief of 'chicken' was made by costume maker Clare Southern and local women in Great Yarmouth. These women also featured in the show as part of the community chorus. As a continuation of the documentary made by Jean Hoaggart, which tracks the making of the dress, rehearsals with the local women and with the professional cast, we also shot these women in wedding dresses in and around Great Yarmouth.

The film is a celebration of the these women, the local area and the craftwomanship work of Clare. Aligning to the wider project it explores the tamed and the untamed. It continues our exploration in placing the theatrical in the real, and the real in the theatrical
